Why do patios crack in Dallas?
North Texas clay swells when wet and shrinks when dry, and that movement cracks slabs and heaves pavers laid straight on the dirt. Poor drainage makes it worse by pooling water along the edges.
We dig out, lay a compacted crushed stone base, and set flagstone, pavers or limestone on top, with joints and edges built to flex. Where water collects, we add French drains or dry creek beds to carry it away from the house. Every patio and walk is graded to shed water away from the foundation.

How do I look after a stone patio?
Sweep or blow it off regularly, top up polymeric sand in paver joints every few years, and keep sprinklers from soaking the edges. Sealing is optional; we explain the trade-offs for your stone when the job is done.
