Why does my sprinkler system waste water?
Most systems we check lose water to broken or tilted heads, sprays hitting the street, zones that run too long, and controllers that never changed from the day they were installed. Spray heads in flower beds are the other big loss, since much of that water evaporates before it reaches the roots.
We test every zone, fix leaks and heads, and convert beds to drip irrigation that puts water at the root zone. A smart controller with a rain and freeze sensor sets itself to the weather and keeps you inside the City of Dallas twice-weekly schedule. In Texas, irrigation work must be done by or under a TCEQ Licensed Irrigator, and ours is.

How do I protect my sprinklers in a Texas freeze?
Turn the controller off before a hard freeze, shut the water to the system and wrap the backflow preventer with an insulated cover. Exposed pipes above ground crack first. A rain and freeze sensor stops the system from icing the sidewalk on cold mornings.
